I trying to set up dual monitors Ubuntu 18.04 using the single HDMI port and the VGA port on my NUC5CPYH. I have had no luck so far. The BIOS screen doesn't display with VGA only port plugged in (NO HDMI) either. I have set the BIOS to use the VGA as the primary display and the doesn't seem to help.
I still get "no signal" on the monitor. Oddly enough when I plug it in ubuntu sees it and recognizes the monitor in the display setup. I can move the mouse(cursor) off screen to the right and it acts as if it is on the monitor(that is not displaying anything). The two monitors I am using are identical and I have swapped them to test and both work fine. They are Benq GW2280 monitors. I suspect it may be a driver issue.
